Steal the Treasures. Keep it clean.

Last updated 4 November 2026

The short version

Lootable is a game about stealing photos of each other's stuff. The stealing happens in the game only. Post only photos you're happy for strangers to see, be decent to the people you play with, and don't cheat. Break those rules and we remove the content, the account, or both.

Who you're agreeing with

Lootable is made and run by Darren Duffy, an individual developer ("we" on this page). By creating an account or playing, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Lootable.

Who can play

You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission. One account per person. Keep your email secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.

It's a game

Every heist in Lootable is pretend. A Treasure is a photo, and the real thing in it stays exactly where it is. Never take, touch or go looking for anyone's real belongings, and never use the game as a reason to turn up anywhere or bother anyone in real life.

What you post

You keep ownership of the photos, names, prices, usernames, calling cards and messages you put into Lootable. You give us permission to store them and show them to other players as part of the game, for as long as they're in the game. When you delete something, or your account, we remove it as the privacy policy describes.

Only post things you have the right to post, and nothing on this list:

  • nudity, sexual content, or anything sexual involving a minor (we report that to the authorities)
  • hate, slurs, or attacks on anyone for who they are
  • harassment, bullying, threats, or encouraging anyone to hurt themselves or others
  • gore, cruelty to people or animals, weapons used to threaten, or anything illegal
  • people as Treasures: a Treasure is a photo of a thing, never of a person (a person who happens to be in the background of a photo has to have agreed to it)
  • a photo of a person who hasn't agreed to it, or anyone's private information (addresses, phone numbers, documents, faces of children who aren't yours)
  • spam, scams, ads, or pretending to be someone else
  • other people's artwork, photos or logos passed off as your own

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive players. We remove anything that breaks these rules, without warning.

How we moderate

Everything you post for other players to see (photos, Treasure names, usernames, real names, calling cards, Crew names and chat messages) is checked automatically before it appears, using a list of banned words and OpenAI's moderation service. Depending on the result, your post goes live, is refused (you'll be asked to try something else), or, for a photo the check isn't sure about, is held so only you can see it until a moderator approves or removes it. By posting, you agree to this check.

Automatic checks make mistakes in both directions, so people make the decisions that follow: moderators review held photos and reports, and remove content or act against accounts. When 3 different players report the same Treasure or chat message, it's hidden until a moderator reviews it. A Treasure photo reported as sexual, or as a photo of someone who didn't agree to it, is hidden straight away until a moderator reviews it. We keep records of moderation decisions and reports, as the privacy policy describes.

Anything sexual involving a minor is removed, the account is banned, and we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children with the account's details, as US law requires.

Reporting and blocking

Every Treasure, profile and chat message has a Report button, and every profile and direct message has Report and Block at the top. A blocked player can't rob you or message you, even inside a Crew you share, and their Treasures, messages and activity are hidden from you. Every block is also sent to us, so we can look at that player's account. Whoever you report or block is never told it was you. We aim to review every report within 24 hours, and we act on it: removing the content, and suspending or removing the player who posted it when the report holds up. You can also email support@lootableapp.com.

Fair play

  • No bots, scripts, auto-clickers or anything that plays for you.
  • Only invite people by email who'd want to hear from you. Invitations are for friends, not for spam.
  • No second accounts, and no fake accounts to collect referral rewards. Recruiters of fake accounts lose their cash and Treasures and can be suspended.
  • Found a bug that pays out? Tell us instead of farming it. We may undo what it paid.
  • Don't try to break into, overload or reverse engineer Lootable or other players' accounts.

Cash, Treasures and the rules

Lootable Cash, Treasure values, Loot Value, titles and everything else you win in the game are part of the game. They have no real-world value, can't be cashed out, and can't be sold or traded for real money or anything outside the game. We tune the game all the time: rules, prices, timers and rewards can change, and we may correct balances or reverse heists that came from a bug or from breaking these terms.

What we can do

We can hide or remove any content, and limit, suspend or delete any account that breaks these terms or puts other players at risk. Serious or repeated breaks lose the account for good. If you think we got it wrong, email support@lootableapp.com and a person will look at it.

You can stop playing whenever you like, and Settings → Delete my account removes your account straight away. If we ever shut Lootable down, we'll tell players in the app first.

No guarantees

Lootable is provided as is. We work hard to keep it running and fair, but we can't promise it will always be available, bug free, or that every robbery alert reaches your phone in time (your phone's settings, Focus modes and connection decide that too). To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything other players do, and our total liability to you is limited to US$50. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law where you live.

If you got Lootable from the App Store

These terms are between you and Darren Duffy, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Lootable, its content, support or maintenance, or any claims about it, and has no obligation to provide support. If Lootable fails to meet a warranty that applies by law, you can tell Apple and Apple may refund the price you paid (Lootable is free). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You confirm you aren't in a country under a US government embargo and aren't on a US list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple's own Media Services terms also apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute that can't be settled by talking it through goes to the state or federal courts in California. Where the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally, that right still stands.

Changes

If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and tell players in the app when the change matters. Playing after a change means you accept it.
